On Monday Jared decided to neglect some much needed mowing around the farm and take us to Little Bow for a dip in the lake! We left home with the truck loaded with bikes and the buggy at 4pm and had a fun evening! It was long over due and very much needed! When we first got to the lake the boys and I set up on the beach while Emry and Jared went for a bike ride. Armin and Calum were in heaven with the shallow water at their disposal, even though the water was ice cold they still couldn't get enough of it!
By the time Emry and Jared came back from their little ride the boys were more than ready to take a deeper plunge, and when Jared finally brought Armin back to the beach he was shivering so hard I was sure he would shake an appendage off!
After Emry, Calum and Jared swam out to the dock they too came out shivering and we had hot dogs and french fries for supper. After playing in the sand a little longer we all went for a little walk and got an ice cream cone, and then while I loaded up the beach toys Jared and Emry went for another little ride!

It was a really fun evening, I was happy to spend that little bit of family fun time with those I love more than anything else in this world!
So Fun!! I have so many childhood memories at Little Bow and getting an ice cream before going home. So glad your family is carrying on those traditions!
ReplyDeleteDave said we must take the boat out this year. It has been years for our family. Blake didn't even know there was one. Glad you got ice cream it seems like a must at Little Bow.
