Up and Away!
After a 2 hour delay due to mechanical issues, Myrna was finally able to fly to Salt Lake where she was being picked up by a family friend to go to the MTC (Missionary Training Centre) in Provo.
Her original flight was scheduled to leave at 2:05pm Sunday but because of mechanical issues that flight was cancelled. She did however sit in the plane on the tarmac for 2 hours before they cancelled. Her flight was rescheduled for Tuesday at 2:05pm and after a half hour delay she was boarded and on her way!! She made it to the MTC in time for a devotional, which she said was excellent, but was a little afraid of getting lost there!!
It was a teary goodbye on Sunday. Calum and I just couldn't hold back the tears. She will sure be missed but we are so proud of her for the decision she has made to serve a mission for our Church and her Heavenly Father. What a great example to her grand kids who will one day be serving missions, if their Grandma can do it so can they!! The 18 months will go by fast and Montreal is lucky to have such a wonderful woman, a true example of our Savior.
