The Family Dance

Last night was the annual Champion School Family Dance!  Emry started talking about it weeks ago, so if there was any question about whether we were going to go or not, that question soon was answered!  It was lots of fun, and as usual the kids had a blast!  We were able to be there right when it started so Emry didn't miss any of the dances she had been practicing in gym!  Jared did the Butterfly with her and Calum, and we watched the kids do the Limbo, and Emry did the Macarena and YMCA, while Calum watched closely and tried to do the same!  She was even able to do a line dance, her favourite!  The nicest thing about the evening was being there with 'family'!  My mom and dad were both there and of course Arren and her family!  I love spending time together, I love how close we all are and I love that grandma and grandpa WANTED to spend time in a super loud gym with lots of screaming children just to see their grandkids go wild!  Jared and I figured we have at least eleven more years of the Family Dance, so I guess we better just accept the fact that this will be an annual family tradition!

  1. That is great they are learning dances in gym. When I read the old stories it seems like dancing is a lost art.
